Biography

Matt Eastman is a filmmaker living in Toronto. He recently directed the darkly comic digital series Whatever, Linda for  Emmy-winning studio Secret Location. Even before its release, the show has won multiple awards (Raindance’s Best Actor, Best Production Design and Best New Discovery, ITV Festival’s Best Drama and Miami Web Fest’s Best of the Fest) and Matt was nominated for Outstanding Directing in a Comedy at the 2015 LA Webfest. Matt is currently Director-in-Residence at Fh-Studio in Quebec and Touch Points Films in Ontario. He recently wrapped up a fun and happy year of shooting commercials for Bell, Smirnoff, Interac, and others. His work has been featured in Creativity, FastCoCreate, FWA Site of the Day, and Google’s Creative Sandbox. Along with producers Jeff Gross and Jeremy Shell, Matt is In his spare time, he is writing a screenplay about rap music and Jesus.
