Biography

A distinct and inspiring artist who searches for the soul behind the subject, Geneviève Caron brings a stylish and sophisticated French sensibility to every photograph she takes. Born and raised in Quebec, Geneviève possesses a remarkable joie de vivre, which has helped her to assemble a breathtaking portfolio that captures a beautified reality where the essence of a subject is effortlessly revealed. Geneviève enjoys working under pressure, is fueled by the fast pace of the industry and knows exactly when she gets the right shot. She prides herself on staying up to date with the latest visual trends and invests time in shooting personal, creative work. Each image in her visionary portfolio reflects her trademarks of minimalism, lightness and restraint. It is these traits that helped catch the eye of some of the world’s best-known household brands, and why her work has been featured by Coca-Cola, Colgate, TD Bank, BMO, Johnson & Johnson, Merz, Toyota, Sony and Wal-Mart, among many others. Geneviève‘s work has appeared in Chatelaine, Glow, Canadian Living, and the Globe and Mail, and she also is dedicated to giving back, doing pro-bono work for a number of causes that are near and dear to her heart, including the Assaulted Women’s Help Line. A graduate of Laval University in Quebec City, Geneviève is the winner of numerous North American photography awards, including first prize at the Canadian Lux contest in 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2013, first prize at the US APA National photo competition in the fine art category in 2009, and a prize at the US PDN Pix Digital Contest in 2009.
